Winter Break Workshops

Extended care is available daily for $5 per student per care session for all day camps (7:30 – 9 am or 4 – 5:30 pm). All participants must bring a sack lunch, beverage, and afternoon snack each day.

Imagine yourself flying high in the sky, battling an evil villain or just being the overall good guy. Create a comic strip that tells the story of your heroism. Fashion your fantastic self out of air-dry clay, design a mask for your alter ego, and share your heroic feats with others in the class.

What do soup cans, hamburgers, and comic strips have in common? They are images used in work created by Pop Artists. Explore the museum to find work by Andy Warhol and Claus Oldenburg. Print several self-portraits with different colors in the style of Andy Warhol. Be inspired by Claus Oldenburg and turn an everyday of object into something big. Come for this day filled with turning the ordinary into the extraordinary!
