Transforming the Art Center in the 21st Century! Please consider supporting the 75th Anniversary Campaign to enhance the Des Moines Art Center’s continued, long-term relevance and increased vibrancy.
Campaign gifts may also include pledges, grants, marketable securities, or bequests. Gifts to the campaign are tax-deductible
to the extent allowed by law. Please note, we ask you to consider a gift in addition to your annual membership or donation. Gifts of $5,000 or more will be recognized prominently at the entrance to the Art Center.

Outstanding Modern and Contemporary Art
A collection containing iconic works by artists El Anatsui, Francis Bacon, Cecily Brown, Edward Hopper, Jasper Johns, Yayoi Kusama, Henri Matisse, Joan Mitchell, Wangechi Mutu, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Ai Wei Wei.
Renowned Architecture
Eliel Saarinen, I. M. Pei, and Richard Meier are the three architects who collaborated in the design of the Art Center campus and are among the greatest names in architecture of the 20th century. Their combined efforts have resulted in a unique architectural achievement visited by people from around the world.
A Diverse Range of Exhibitions
From After Many Springs: Regionalism, Modernism & the Midwest showcasing 1930s and 1940s progressive artists like Jackson Pollock along with traditionalists like Grant Wood, to 2019’s Queer Abstraction, the first exhibition to focus on queer subject matter and showcase queer voices that have been left out of art history.
