DESCRIPTION:The Des Moines Art Center is partnering with The Avenues of Ingersoll & Grand for their “Art on The Avenues” celebration. Children and families are invited to Chamberlain Park to create their own nature-inspired artworks using blank postcards\, stamps\, ink\, and natural materials gathered from the world around us. Experiment with texture\, pattern\, and mark-making to create one-of-a-kind prints\, taking influence from the park itself. \nInspired by the Des Moines Art Center’s summer exhibition “Topographies: Mapping Being and Belonging\,” this pop-up artmaking experience invites participants to create art using the textures and patterns of the natural world. \nFree; no registration required.
