TURN OF THE CENTURY ARTS 2D WITH ILLISTRATION AND PAINTING
Take a step back in time with this workshop covering art from the turn of the century. Students will listen to a short lecture on the movements of Art Deco, Art Nouveau, and German Expressionism as these three artistic movements simultaneously influenced advertising, architecture, cinema, and fashion at that time. Students will choose a product to advertise and create an ad for it. They can choose amongst the movements or do multiple forms of the ad using as many of the movements as they please. Students should come to this workshop with an idea already in mind of what they’d like to advertise. A short lesson on lettering and logo illustration will be taught as well.
