Pop-punk, Emo, and Scene Lettering and Logo Design
It’s 2005, you’ve got your skinny jeans and Vans on, you’re rearranging your “Top 8” on MySpace, burning some CDs for a road trip to the Warped Tour, and straightening your recently dyed, jet-black bangs. Pop-punk, Emo, and Scene helped form one of the last subcultures of the Millennial generation. In this workshop you’ll design more than just your notebooks from class, including a burnable CD and even an album cover. Remember all those fierce selfies you took in the mirror? Add your favorite band’s lyrics to them. Don’t forget the posters lining the walls of your bedroom.
Listen to a short lecture about where these genres of music came from and how it took a generation by storm. Abstract and rudimentary calligraphic techniques will be taught that make sure to remind you just how sick you and your friends were!
