DES MOINES PHOTO WALKS
Strengthen your photography and composition skills while exploring Des Moines! The class will take place outdoors to photograph on site and virtually as needed. Students will learn photography fundamentals, become more comfortable shooting with their camera, and learn how to make more compelling images using various sites of Des Moines as their subject. Locations may include the Papa John Sculpture Park, Greenwood Park, the Iowa State Capitol, Browns Woods, Blank Park Zoo, and Gray’s Lake. Classes will consist of meeting in-person to learn, walk, talk, and photograph.
Students will need to provide their own camera; phone cameras are okay. Some locations will have an entrance fee, they will not exceed $30 for the entire course. Scholarships for class and materials are available.
