Event Details

In this two-day workshop, students will learn about the many histories of witchcraft and the occult throughout the world. Tying together this vast amalgamation of “witchcraft” is the written word; from scrolls to medieval tomes to modern day grimoires, a type of ledger or chronicle can be found. Quick and simple to intricate and nuanced styles will be demonstrated. Faux maturing and distressing of paper will be demonstrated to add a more congruous effect. The fabrication of hard and soft covers will also be demonstrated to add variety to the texts. While students are creating their bound books, a lecture on different types of witchcraft, the occult, and fringe groups will be given.

Classes happen for two consecutive weekends: Sunday, July 27 and Sunday, August 3, both from 12:30 – 3:30 pm.
