Home Support Membership Reciprocal Benefits
Simply show your Art Center digital or printed membership card at participating museums and receive free general admission and member discounts for gift shops, cafes, parking, special events, and more (some limitations apply*). We suggest calling the museum before your visit to learn about all the reciprocal benefits they offer.
*Please note:
Individual museums may define family/household benefits differently from the Des Moines Art Center and restrict some reciprocal privileges. We recommend that you visit the NARM website, ROAM website, or contact participating museums before your visit.
Museums denoted as MOD-CO (Modern and Contemporary Art Reciprocal Membership Program) provide free admission and reciprocal membership benefits to Art Center members at the Influencer ($250) and above only.
This map includes all U.S. museums and arts organizations relating to the visual arts, design, photography, and architecture that participate in the North American Reciprocal Museums (NARM) program, the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) and/or Modern and Contemporary Art Reciprocal Membership Program (Mod-Co) as of February 2015.
All members will have access to regional travel opportunities with the base benefit package. Members at the Ambassador ($140) level and above will be invited to travel nationally, and Philanthropic Circle members at $3,000 and above will receive first invitation to travel internationally with the Art Center Director, when applicable.
The Art Center participates in the North American Reciprocal Museum Association (NARM) and the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) which offer free or discounted admission to participating museums for members at the Ambassador ($140) level or above. Members at the Influencer ($250) level and above receive member benefits at an additional 70+ modern and contemporary museums through the Modern and Contemporary Reciprocal Membership Program (Mod/Co).
Just show your qualifying Art Center membership card while visiting one of the participating museums. If you have specific questions about your entitlements, we recommend contacting the individual museum before you visit, as the list of reciprocal museums may change without notice.
