INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED METALS & JEWELRY: PATINAS AND PLATING
Explore the fun patinas and plating in this surface centric metals class. Students will be taught techniques of silver plating and applying patinas for copper work to create metal jewelry or small sculptural forms. The patina techniques that will be introduced will be various chemical applications oversite from the instructor to make jewelry as wearable art. The design emphasis will be placed on making art objects such as bracelets, pendants, neck pieces, earrings and other related adornment objects or body accessories using the electroforming process and texture hammers. Scholarships for class and materials are available.
