Description
OIL PAINTING AND INDEPENDENT STUDY
Paint from observation while studying the traditions of oil painting. Gain a working knowledge of chiaroscuro, composition, and the formal issues of color theory using a limited palette. Inspiration will be encouraged by exploring the museum’s permanent collection as well as pieces from throughout art history. Advanced students are welcome to work independently. Students are expected to bring their own materials. Scholarships for class and materials are available on our website.
