Art Center+: Create Puppets for Art Week’s Big Head Community Parade

Help make puppets for the first-ever Big Head Community Parade. Local artists are making big head puppets that need arms, legs, and tentacles to bring the parade to life. Join us in the Harriet S. and J. Locke Macomber Lobby and create your own stick puppet for the parade. You can leave it for someone else to use, or join the parade yourself on Thursday June 23 from  5 – 7 pm during the Valley Junction Farmers Market!

Free and open to all ages. More info provided at the pop up!

This event is a part of Art Week Des Moines. Funded by the West Des Moines Public Art Commission. It takes place immediately prior to the Artists on Art Tour. Join us for one or both events!
