The City of Des Moines is offering Free Flicks at locations throughout Des Moines. On Friday, July 8 the Art Center will host this free outdoor family-friendly event featuring ‘Encanto’ on the north lawn of the Meier building. Arrive early to enjoy the museum galleries which will be open until 7 pm. A free hands-on art activity to make your own maraca with members of the Art Center’s Day of the Dead Committee will be offered outside from 7- 8 pm. The movie begins at sundown (around 9 pm). Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged.
