Event Details

Dance is a performing art form. It transmits culture, emotions, tells stories, and can be a testimony of a historical moment or place of origin. Energy exults out of the performance in a succession of gesture. It has been performed and has inspired artists for as long as humankind has been in existence.

Students of SEEDS dance studio have the opportunity to participate in a weeklong intensive workshop with visiting artist N’Jelle Gage Thorne, exploring stories related to water, weather, resiliency, and home. These themes are drawn from the featured exhibition “Hurricane Season.” The workshop culminates with two public performances on stage in the Art Center’s Levitt Auditorium.

This event is free; registration is required.
