ART ESSENTIALS: CHARCOAL AND PENCIL DRAWING (12-14)
This year we are happy to offer a new set of classes for 12-14-year-olds called Art Essentials!
Art Essentials: Charcoal and Pencil Drawing will guide students through one of the cornerstones of artmaking using techniques that Michelangelo, Albrecht Durer, and Kathe Kollwitz learned before them.
Students will learn shading and blending with charcoal, as well as line and crosshatching techniques with graphite pencils to create realistic shades and tones. Students will learn the differences between 2B and 6H pencil grades and how to use vine and compressed charcoal. Scholarships for classes and materials are available on our website.
