INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED JEWELRY

This is an open studio and advanced metals class that lets the students continue their path of artistic discovery by working on their own with guidance to make jewelry as wearable art. A creative design emphasis will be placed on making art objects such as bracelets, pendants, neck pieces, earrings and other related adornments objects or body accessories. An emphasis will be placed on creative use of metals and thinking outside of the box for settings and attaching nonmetal materials to metal. The metals that can be used will be sterling silver, brass, niobium, copper and nickel silver. This class intends to help the students find and develop their creativity through trial and error. Prerequisite of Beginning Jewelry recommended. Tuition includes access to open studio hours. Scholarships for class and materials are offered on our application page.
