BIG AND LITTLE: PLAYING WITH SCALE IN ART
Artists love to play with the scale of objects in their work! Join us for a week of making artistic miniatures and large-scale paintings and sculptures. By looking at artists like Claes Oldenberg and Coosje van Bruggen, Alexander Calder, and Kamal al-Din Bihzad to guide the way, campers will learn techniques in visual perspective and how to scale their concepts into miniature and grand proportions. Scholarships for classes and materials are available on our website.
Campers now receive a Des Moines Art Center summer camp t-shirt as part of their tuition.
