CREATIVE CONTEMPORARY DANCE WORKSHOP (7-8) and (9-11)
Dance, dance, dance! Join professional modern dance instructors Kathleen Hurley and Amy Murphy as we explore the art of dance making. Participants will learn how to make their own dances inspired by hands-on art and movement projects. We bring hula hoops, stretchy fabric, and lively music — and you bring your body! All genders and ability levels are welcome. Kids should wear comfortable clothing (we might go upside down, so no skirts/dresses and wear a shirt that can be tucked in, please) and be ready to dance barefoot.
Campers now receive a Des Moines Art Center summer camp t-shirt as part of their tuition.
