ART AND THE OUTDOORS
Let’s enjoy the summer weather by creating art outdoors. Campers will learn how to paint in plein air, create temporary outdoor murals, and explore interesting techniques such as sun printing. Students will take nature walks in Greenwood-Ashworth Park and make temporary sculptures with natural materials they find.
If the weather is inclement, alternative projects will be created indoors, centering around outdoor themes.
Campers now receive a Des Moines Art Center summer camp T-shirt as part of their tuition.
Tuition $165 ($132* members) per AM/PM session / Material fee $12
