INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED METALS & JEWELRY: WIRES AND PLATING
Explore the fun proccess of plating in this surface centric metals class. Students will be taught techniques of silver plating for copper work to create metal jewelry or small sculptural forms. Then the wire sculptures and techniques will be introduced for various applications with oversite from the instructor to make jewelry as wearable art. The design emphasis will be placed on making art objects such as bracelets, pendants, neck pieces, earrings and other related adornment objects or body accessories using the electroforming process and texture hammers. Scholarships for classes and materials are available.
