Description
MASTER CLASS: DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY, STILL LIFE, AND EDITING
Still life, a venerable genre, activates the meaning of objects to reflect or comment on our shared world. This class guides beginning and advanced students through the foundations of this fascinating practice. Through demonstrations, critique, and hands-on practice, students will explore still life methodologies – both historical and contemporary – that they can use to apply to their own future experiments. By the end of the workshop, students will have a better understanding of how to arrange dynamic compositions that express their vision and tell a story. Scholarships for class and materials are available.
Samantha Box’s work is the subject of two exhibitions at the Art Center, Caribbean Dreams, on view in the Anna K. Meredith Gallery, and Minor Key, in the John Brady Print Gallery.
