PHOTOGRAPHY FUNDAMENTALS
This class aims to develop your knowledge of digital image-making techniques, such as composition, creating properly exposed images with a camera in manual mode, and editing your photos. The first half will focus on the technical aspects of your camera, such as using aperture, shutter speed, and ISO for proper exposure, focusing modes, and shooting modes. The second half will focus on compositional techniques, visual aesthetics, and historical and conceptual concepts relevant to photography. This class will focus on digital SLR and mirrorless cameras. A subscription to Adobe’s photography package (Lightroom and Photoshop) is optional.. Scholarships for class and materials are available.
