Description

SCRAP LAB (9-11)

In this mixed-media class, students will use items from everyday life for their artwork and let their ingenuity and creativity run wild. Students will make 2D collages and 3D constructions using materials like ticket stubs, museum catalogs, rubber inner tubes, and more. Students will learn about sustainability and reuse, and how to make eco-friendly art.

*No class on March 14 or April 11! Please consider coming to the Des Moines Art Center’s free, all-ages Social Saturday events on those days to make some art instead!
