We invite you to participate in a free beading workshop led by Sarah Young Bear-Brown, an artist who is both Deaf and a member of the Meskwaki Tribe. In addition to being an advocate for the Indigenous Deaf community, Sarah has had her bead work featured in the Art Center’s 2023 exhibition “75 Years of Iowa Art,” and served as a teaching artist in the Community Access Program. During this workshop she will lead participants through various beading techniques. All are welcome. No prior experience with bead work is required.
This program is free, and registration is required.
