Join us for a fun, free, family-friendly event that celebrates the many ways stories can be shared—through books, performances, art, and more! Inspired by the vibrant exhibition, “Samantha Box: Caribbean Dreams,” the Des Moines Art Center has teamed up with CultureALL, the Des Moines Playhouse, the Des Moines Public Library, and local independent bookstores to bring you a day full of storytelling magic. We invite you to come experience the power of shared narratives, creativity, imagination, and community.

SCHEDULE
11:15 – 11:45 am: Storytelling through puppetry workshop with the Des Moines Playhouse
Noon, 12:20, and 12:40 pm: Childhood Stories with CultureALL storyteller Gurwinder Singh Kapur
1 – 1:45 pm: Adventure Clubhouse performs “Goldie Rocks” with the Des Moines Playhouse
2, 2:20, and 2:40 pm: Childhood Stories with CultureALL storyteller Sylvia Nemmers
