Poetry is taking over the Art Center in celebration of National Poetry Month! We’re welcoming members of the Des Moines Poetry Workshop, Iowa Poetry Association, Poetry Palooza, and SAY Poetry for this collaborative and interactive event. Poets of all ages and experience levels will perform poetry throughout the museum, among the artworks that inspire them. For those who are inspired to create their own poetry during the event, a drop-in writing workshop will be offered in the Macomber Lobby, or you can head straight to your favorite spot and begin writing on your own.
