Members of Print Club are invited to the unveiling of the 2025 Commissioned print by artist Duane Slick! This will be the first opportunity to view and learn about this new print, made specially for the Des Moines Art Center Print Club. The print will be available to purchase immediately following the unveiling and presentation by Senior Curator Laura Burkhalter.
With a career over thirty years, Iowa-born painter Duane Slick has pursued his unique vision to combine modern abstraction and his Native American heritage as a citizen of both the Meskwaki (Fox of Iowa) and Ho-Chunk (Nebraska) Nations.
After the commissioned print unveiling, Associate Curator Ashton Cooper will give us an exclusive preview of the upcoming September print gallery exhibition on Robert Rauschenberg. There will be light refreshments provided by The Art Center Cafe presented by la mie.
