Treat yourself to a glorious day at the Des Moines Art Center featuring a handbell performance by Twin Cities Bronze in the awe-inspiring and acoustically rich I. M. Pei building. Twin Cities Bronze is comprised of 13 professional ringers and is known for commissioning and performing music by contemporary composers. Their stop at the Art Center is part of a summer Midwest tour in honor of 25 years of pushing the boundaries of handbell ensembles.
While you’re here, be sure to take in the magnificent art on view, including the “Firelei Báez” exhibition, and treat yourself to lunch at the Art Center Café, presented by la mie, prior to the performance.
