We are incredibly grateful for your support of the Des Moines Art Center’s 2024 Modern Dream Gala. More than $297,000 was raised to help make possible free admission to the more than 300,000 who visit Art Center and Pappajohn Sculpture Park each year, to provide education and tours to more than 8,000 students from the public school system at no cost, and to serve more than 2,500 individuals through our Community Access Program, which partners with a range of non-profits to better serve communities with specific needs and specific forms of potential, including veterans, the Deaf, Autistic adults and youth, and many more—again, at no charge to participants.

You help to make all of this, and so much more possible. You are philanthropists in the truest sense of the word: what you give to the Art Center, we give back to the community in form of opportunities and resources available from no other cultural organization of this size in Des Moines. THANK YOU.

A special note of gratitude to this year’s presenting sponsor, MidAmerican Energy Foundation, along with our 18 sponsors, 51 patrons, and more than 350 guests for the gala and After Party, and to trustee Andrea Abel and her husband Gregory for the donation of wine. We would also like to thank this year’s gala committee, which was co-chaired by trustee Eva Anderson and her husband Michael, and committee members included Maya and Erich Boettcher, Isaac Bracher, Agnieszka Pieta, and Connie Wilson.

The Des Moines Art Center is a truly special place where art can bridge distances and differences, cultivate empathy and curiosity, foster dialogue and connection, and expand the mind and open the heart. To see the impact you have and the mission in action, please enjoy a special video below.
