INKWASH ILLUSTRATIONS: THE ART OF EASTERN ASIA
East Asian writing on aesthetics says “The goal of ink and wash painting is not simply to reproduce the appearance of the subject, but to capture its spirit. To paint a horse the ink-wash painting artist must understand its temperament better than its muscles and bones”. Students will learn about this historical painting styles of eastern Asia in this 1-day workshop as well as making an exciting project in this style. Scholarships for class and materials are available on our website. All supplies are provided.
