Deshara Bohanna Bio
A passion for designing beautiful things, connecting with people, parenting her three beautiful girls, and giving back through community service have equipped Deshara Bohanna to be a multi-faceted creative entrepreneur. Originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Bohanna earned a BA in Journalism at UAPB. After pursuing a graduate degree at ISU, Bohanna worked in corporate America for over 10 years. Bohanna launched her business, Design Fetish by Deshara, full-time in October 2017, focusing on her mission to create beautiful conversation pieces and décor that uplift, inspire, and celebrate life’s special moments. She has worked closely with many local organizations, and in 2019 she established Ankeny Community Network, which officially became a nonprofit in 2020. The organization’s mission is to provide a supportive environment that appreciates multiculturalism and diversity while establishing a community network through relationship building, civic engagement, community leadership, and education on inclusion within Ankeny.
